ASIMOB, participant from Innovation Hub South, wins the first edition of the EIT Urban Mobility Accelerator Pitch Awards 2021
ASIMOB, a participant from the EIT Urban Mobility Accelerator Programme from the Innovation Hub South, was the winner of the first edition of the EIT Urban Mobility Accelerator Pitch Awards 2021, taking place on 22 June. Additionally, this start-up has also been selected to take part of the ScaleTHENGlobal Programme.
As a reward, ASIMOB obtains a direct nomination to the regional final of Startup World Cup & Summit, provision of office space in Prague during that event, and technical and media support. The third prize went to BIA, another start-up participating in the same programme belonging to Innovation Hub South as well, proving that the innovative ecosystem in the region is one of the most powerful in Europe.
Out of the 25 start-ups participating in the EIT Urban Mobility Accelerator Programme, 10 finalists selected by citizens and local juries made it to the first edition of the EIT Urban Mobility Accelerator Pitch Awards, 2 from each Innovation Hub. Through this event, the Batch #2 has been given closure after 6 months of working hand by hand with the start-ups to boost their businesses.
In a few weeks Batch #3 will start and we are excited to welcome 5 new start-ups that are reimagining urban mobility and improving citizens’ lives across Europe to help them boost their ideas, reach new markets and solve mobility-related problems.
The programme is developed by the acceleration partners Innovation Hub South: UPC – Technical University of Catalonia, Barcelona City Council, CARNET, CTAG, and UPF.
