The UAM Plazza Accelerator programme is currently looking for the most promising and innovative European start-ups working on different activities that can support the development of Urban Air Mobility around Europe. The 10 selected companies will benefit from coaching and mentoring sessions, connections with cities and investors, and the possibility to showcase their solutions. The application period is open until the 21st of April.

In its 2023 edition, the acceleration programme will look for the 10 most promising emerging companies in Europe in the field of Urban Air Mobility and will provide them with support to take their business to the next level and become a crucial part of the future of transportation. The scope of activity of the participating start-ups must be related to one or more of the following areas: vertiport urban integration, vertiport terminal passenger journey processes and systems, urban air logistics, and energy mobility solutions. After its first edition’s success, the programme will offer again a unique opportunity to shape the future of flying within cities. Start-ups are developing new and innovative products to unleash the potential of Urban Air Mobility but require support to build their business and go-to-market strategy in cities. In this context is born the UAM Accelerator programme, co-funded by the EIT Urban Mobility, a programme that will facilitate their growth, connect them to the UAM ecosystem and market, and will offer them possibilities to raise investment, test and validate their product, and get regulation and policy clarity. Through this process, we aim to introduce their solutions in real environments to solve our cities’ challenges.

In addition to participating in a coaching and mentoring programme, start-ups will benefit from networking opportunities with experts and relevant stakeholders in the UAM’s global ecosystem; information sessions about investment rounds and opportunities to pitch their solutions in front of investors; assessment about regulation and policy requirements; and the chance to validate their solutions in testbeds.

The UAM Plazza Accelerator programme is supported by the EIT Urban Mobility —an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union— and led by Toulouse Métropole, with the collaboration of CARNET, Aerospace Valley, and Ferrovial.

The call for applications for European Urban Air Mobility start-ups is officially open since the 20th of February until the 21st of April 2023.
