CARNET Showcases Innovations at FISITA WORLD CONGRESS 2023
CARNET recently participated at the FISITA WORLD CONGRESS 2023, showcasing its commitment to innovation and collaboration in the automotive sector. The event, which took place from September 12th to 14th at the Barcelona International Convention Centre (CCIB), provided a platform for CARNET to connect with industry experts, startups, and innovators.
Throughout the three days of the congress, CARNET’s team showcased their ongoing projects, including RideSafeUM, IMMENSE, LogiSmile, and CARNET’s scouting activities, showcasing its dedication to innovation and technological advancements in the automotive and mobility sectors.
Another highlight of the event was CARNET’s Executive and Scientific Manager, Dr. Laia Pagès, participating as a speaker in the Startups Pitch Session. This session offered a platform for five selected startups to present their innovative ideas to experts from the industry. This was a key opportunity for CARNET to emphasize the relevance of innovation in the field and the number of disruptive projects in the pipeline.
During the congress, CARNET also had the opportunity to engage with key stakeholders from the mobility and transportation sector, including Dr. Ing.Carles Grasas, Chairman of the Board at Applus+ IDIADA, Miquel Ferrús Serra, Sales Manager at Applus+ IDIADA, Jean Luc Mate, President Founder at JLM CONSEIL, Javier Luzón, Head of Vehicle Security at SEAT, S.A., and Maura Claramunt, Startups Project Manager at ACCIÓ. These interactions facilitated meaningful discussions about urban mobility projects and the potential for future collaborations.
CARNET’s presence at FISITA WORLD CONGRESS 2023 was further enhanced by the visit of Xavier Flores, General Secretary of Infrastructure at Ministerio de Transportes, Movilidad y Agenda Urbana, and Teresa Riesgo, General Secretary of the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación. They acknowledged the importance of innovation in the automotive sector, with a special recognition of CARNET’s contributions.
The culmination of the event saw Dr. Laia Pagès participating in the FISITA World Mobility Summit, a gathering of technology and industry experts focused on industry disruption. This underscored CARNET’s commitment to shaping the future of transportation through innovation and collaboration.
