CARNET Leads Launch of Scaleup Mobility Programme 2025
CARNET is proud to lead the Scaleup Mobility Programme 2025, an initiative powered by EIT Urban Mobility, a body of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), part of the European Union. The programme aims to support high-potential European startups delivering sustainable and scalable mobility solutions — from smart logistics to intelligent transport systems.
Designed for growth-stage startups, the programme offers strategic support at a critical stage in the innovation journey. With a strong emphasis on investment readiness, the Scaleup Mobility Programme 2025 combines tailored business mentoring, curated networking with cities and investors, and direct access to funding opportunities.
“Scaling is where many promising startups face real challenges,” says Raül Feliu, Startup Programmes Manager at EIT Urban Mobility. “Only 5% of seed-stage ventures in Europe currently reach Series A — a sharp drop from 20–30% just a decade ago. Startups that receive focused, structured support are three times more likely to grow successfully. This is where the Scaleup Mobility Programme can make a difference, and we’re excited to work with CARNET to drive it forward.”
Focused support to scale urban mobility innovation
CARNET will oversee the execution of the programme, leveraging its experience as a leading mobility innovation hub and connector between academia, industry, and public authorities. The initiative will select 10 of Europe’s most promising scaleups, each of which will receive personalised mentoring, strategic business guidance, and opportunities to connect with mobility stakeholders and investors across the continent.
“This programme is not just about startup growth — it’s about accelerating the implementation of sustainable mobility solutions where they’re most needed,” said a CARNET spokesperson. “By leading the Scaleup Mobility Programme, we’re helping to close the gap between innovation and deployment, while strengthening Europe’s transition toward more sustainable and connected mobility systems.”
“Now in its 6th edition, led by CARNET and with over 70 alumni, we’ve witnessed first-hand how the programme creates a real and lasting impact. It not only accelerates and strengthens the growth of the selected startups, but also contributes to shaping the wider mobility landscape,” says Cristina Juárez, CIO at CARNET.
Startups accepted into the programme will join a cohort of like-minded innovators working on solutions aligned with the EU Green Deal and the mission for climate-neutral cities.
