Project purpose and Description
New European Bauhaus-focused Citython which took place in the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz throughout the weekend of 20 September to 2 October 2022. Citython is composed of inspirational talks, an ideation mentored process, a presentation of the solutions, an evaluation and an announcement of the winners. The impact is divided into three key beneficiaries:
1. City of Vitoria-Gasteiz: Define the specific challenges and supervise the teams, ensuring relevant and applicable solutions (serving the city’s interests). A follow-up implementation plan with the winning teams will be developed, and potentially new local policies aligned with the NEB objectives will be implemented.
2. Participants: Students and professionals will gain knowledge in the fields of urban planning and mobility, learn from diverse backgrounds, win financial rewards and implement their solutions.
3. EIT Cross-KIC New European Bauhaus Community: The challenges and the criteria defined for the evaluation of the proposals are aligned with the NEB values and principles.
Objectives and outcomes
The ambition of the Citython is to create a reference co-idea on an event in Europe that can attract the best talents, including students of the EIT Urban Mobility academic programs, to create the most innovative solutions.
