Ona Showcased her Autonomous Navigation Capabilities with the Spanish Ministry of Transportation, Raquel Sánchez, in Barcelona (Spain)

Within the framework of LogiSmile, the autonomous delivery device called Ona was tested in the city of Esplugues de Llobregat (Spain) between 7 and 10 June. This project is co-funded by the EIT Urban Mobility, an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union. The robot was piloted on a 750-meter track that mixed roads and pedestrian areas. The pilot scope included the validation of the autonomous navigation systemrobot-human interaction, and validation of remote teleoperations. CARNET Becomes a Member of UITP to Work Towards Improved Public Transportation

In May 2022, CARNET became an official member of UITP, the International Association of Public Transport. Joining this association opens the door to a wider international public transport ecosystem. Citython Kosice Re-Imagines Urban Mobility Through a Hackathon

After the successful first edition in Zilina, Citython 2022 brought the second edition of its annual event to Kosice (Slovakia) on 1-3 July. An urban mobility hackathon focused on urban data, smart mobility, urban planning, and crisis management, gathered participants with expertise in urban planning, engineering, data science, transport, IT and business creation from all around Europe split into teams that competed against each other to drive innovation to address the main challenges the city of Kosice faces. Transforming Streets Through Co-Creation With Children As A Mode Of Design

A consortium of European partners led by CARNET launched the third edition of FURNISH (, our ground-breaking project dedicated to building new social spaces in European streets. This third edition, named FURNISH-KIDS, is focused on the co-creation of urban elements with children, aiming to incorporate the capacity of kids to envision the future by using a diverse sample of design techniques. These spaces, when designed, not only for, but with them, have the potential to promote happier and healthier spaces for all users in the present, and to shape more resilient and conscious citizens in the future.
