VII Symposium on Urban Mobility Challenges:
Mobility Recovery After COVID-19

For the seventh consecutive year, CARNET organized the "Symposium on “Urban Mobility Challenges”. CARNET brought together speakers from the industrial sector and the academic world, to present their knowledge of new technologies and the latest innovations related to mobility, with a special focus on how COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on mobility during the last year. SCEWC2021:
CARNET Participates in the Smart City Expo World Congress 2021

The Autonomous Driving Challenge (ADC) competition was held on November 16, 17, and 18 during the Smart City Expo in Barcelona. Four teams from Spanish universities (UMA Garage from the University of Málaga, Gromep, from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, UNIZAR from the Polytechnic University of Zaragoza, and URBots, from the Rovira i Virgili University) competed for the podium in this third edition, ultimately won by the team from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Smart Cities: Smart Future:
CARNET Participates at the Workshop Organized by the General Consulate of Hungary

The General Consulate of Hungary organized the â€śSmart Cities: Smart Future” workshop and networking event on 18 November 2021 in collaboration with the Digitális JĂłlĂ©t Program Nonprofit Ltd. (#DigitalSuccessProgramme) and #HiQGlobal. The event was held at Real Club de Tennis in Barcelona and the line-up was packed with smart city experts. MaaS in Catalonia: Challenges and Opportunities
A Study on How This Service Helps Mobility in Cities Improve

During that last year, several mobility entities located in Catalonia such as AMB, Autopistas and Abertis Mobility Services (AMS), CARNET, RACC, Saba, Banco Sabadell, and SEAT S.A. have collaborated in the preparation of a study on MaaS in Catalonia, developed by Factual and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya · BarcelonaTech (UPC), led by Dr Miquel Estrada, mobility specialist and professor of the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Enginyeria de Camins, Canals i Ports de Barcelona (ETSECCPB) at the UPC. Women in Urban Mobility (WUM):
Women Decision-Making in Urban Mobility

Despite the progress we have achieved as a society in closing the gender gap, we cannot claim that inequality between men and women is no longer a concern, as it is still a major issue in most technological fields. This could be because women still have a lower participation rate in decision-making positions than men. The third meetup of the WUM project, which aims to fill in a gap in the lack of networks of women dedicated to urban mobility, was held in CASA SEAT.
