CARNET Participates in the Tomorrow.Mobility 2022 Congress

CARNET participated from the 15th to the 17th of November at the Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress 2022, held in the context of the Smart City Congress, an opportunity to showcase the latest technologies with the aim to create a better future for cities. In this context, CARNET was able to show its most important projects from the past year.
Among the 800 national and international exhibitors present at the congress, CARNET had its own stand in the start-up area, allowing attendees to know more about the developed projects and meet the ecosystem CARNET created in collaboration with their partners and start-ups.
Presentations – A Closer Insight on Upcoming Projects
During the 3 days of the congress, CARNET invited its partners to give presentations at CARNET’s booth. Industrial, academic, and institutional partners had the opportunity to present their most recent projects and discuss cutting-edge technologies and industry advancements. This allowed the audience to have the opportunity to receive an up-close look at efforts and developments boosting transportation and urban mobility. Additionally, CARNET’s team was also involved in various events and presentations, which allowed us to provide more insights about the developments and milestones CARNET has achieved this year thanks to projects such as RideSafeUM, Citython, Scale-up Programme, or LogiSmile.
Getting to Know CARNET’s Autonomous Last-Mile Delivery Device Ona
As another highlight from this week, CARNET presented the second prototype of Ona at its booth – this time designed to deliver large parcels autonomously. The robot was received with curiosity and interest by the visitors, who also had the chance to see ONA in action move around the area.
For 3 days, the team had the opportunity to talk about joint projects with new partners and how the challenges of the upcoming years can be tackled through partnerships and ongoing projects. It was the perfect ecosystem to attract several new national and international prospects and discuss them in personal exchange, having the chance to present CARNET, its partners, and collaborators in order to keep working towards future mobility.
