CARNET and its Active Participation in UITP and the Research in Mobility Committee

Cristina Juarez, our CIO and CARNET’s representative at the UITP Summit received the UITP Partner Certificate and joined the stage with the UITP President, Khalid Alhogail, in highlighting the commitment and collaboration on sustainable public transport development.

From 4th to 7th June 2023, Barcelona held the International Union of Public Transport (UITP) Summit, the 64th edition of the annual meeting that brings together experts, leaders and professionals in public transport and sustainable mobility to share and discuss innovative solutions in the industry, with the aim of promoting more efficient and sustainable public transport.

CARNET, an active member of UITP since May 2022, has joined the recently created Research in Mobility Committee, a new opportunity to share and receive expertise and data research in the field.

The UITP is the largest association that brings together key public transport and sustainable mobility stakeholders from around the world and has a wide range of members, including some of our industrial partners such as Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) and TUSGSAL.

CARNET is honoured to contribute with its knowledge to organizations as prestigious as UITP and to share its expertise in the field of public transport, serving as a link between academic institutions and the industry and helping to make it more efficient and sustainable at a global level.
