Autonomous Driving Challenge 2018

CARNET hosted the Workshop from the Autonomous Driving Challenge , the second edition of a competition between Spanish Universities (Universidad de Málaga, Universidad de Alicante, Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya ESEIAAT, Universidad de Vigo, Universidad de Valladolid and Universidad Politécnica de Valencia) on autonomous cars. It has been two days filled with lectures and trials where 35 students received their 1:10 model cars and tested them in a collaborative environment.

The idea was to provide a common knowledge in robotic and programing to even differences between the participants so they could compete on fair standards. From now on, the students will be coached remotely by IRI UPC Robotic Experts. The final event will take place during a ceremony with international media attention where students will be able to show all their knowledge and skills through a series of tasks of growing difficulty, derived from a realistic environment. See you in November for the Autonomous Driving Challenge 2018 final event!.
